Lily to buy country mansion

LILY Allen is set to expand her property empire - she’s planning to buy a $2m country mansion.
The British singer - who has always lived in London - wants to quit the British capital city and splash out on a luxurious five-bedroom home in a Cotswolds village with Sam Cooper. “Lily’s had enough of London life,” a source said. “She may only be 24, but she’s done far more than most other girls her age in just a short space of time.”
The singer - who previously sang of her love of London in her hit single LDN - reportedly wants to make the move so she is closer to her actor father Keith, who lives in a nearby village. Lily is so keen to make the move, she has already put her three-bedroom flat in north London up for rent at $1200 a week.
Last week, the singer revealed she would take a two-year break from the music industry to start a fashion business with her sister.
“I will take one or two years off from recording and performing music,” she said. “The shop is about making fashion democratic for people.” – SS
