Penelope Cruz refuses to address engagement rumours

IS she or isnt she? was the question on everyones lips following Penelope Cruzs appearance on David Letterman Tuesday when the talk show host asked if shes engaged.
Rumours that Cruz, 35, is set to wed beau Javier Bardem surfaced when the actress wore a sapphire-and-diamond sparkler on her ring finger at the October premiere of Broken Embraces. I dont feel comfortable talking about my private life in public, Cruz told Letterman when he asked her point-blank if shes gearing up to marry Bardem, 40. Letterman pressed and Cruz continued, Ive been here a few times with you, you know Im tough. One thing I dont do, I dont lie about my personal life, she said. Its sacred to me. Its my life. But I dont give details about it because I am allergic to that.
Letterman then asked, So you know, but you dont want to tell me? I know, Cruz replied with a giggle, but I choose not to share some things In October, it was reported that Cruz and Bardem had been telling their closest pals theyre planning to walk down the aisle in the next few months.
