John Mayer debuts new love song

JOHN Mayer may not be lucky in love, but the guy know how to write the kind of heartfelt lyrics that make women
swoon.
Just three weeks after his break-up with Jennifer Aniston, John has debuted a new song of his called Half My
Heart. John played the song for people at the VH1 Save The Music Foundation benefit last night.
The lyrics include: "Half of my heart is a shotgun wedding to a bride with a newspaper ring/Half of my heart is the
part of a man who knows he's never really loved a thing."
John didn't share the inspiration behind the song, but let's hope he's not referring to Jen Later that night, John
Twittered his thoughts, saying: "That felt great to play again. Half Of My Heart felt pretty good. Gonna tweak it a
bit."
And speaking of Twitter, John seems to be pretty into it But when asked about it, he replied, "It's inherently silly
and it's inherently dumb.
"If you really think that Twitter is the pathway to spiritual enlightenment, well...It's one step away from sending
pictures of your poop."
"I've always communicated at a high level as best I can whether it's Twitter, Napster or message boards or
wherever. I don't have a devotion to Twitter. I didn't sell out to Twitter. You do Twitter until everybody gets off of
Twitter and it's something else you go and try out."
Well for someone who compares it to poop-sharing, John sure does go on pretty often. We think he and Ashton
Kutcher are tied for biggest Twitter obsession.
