Indian PM inaugurates controversial Baglihar dam
October 10, 2008 Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has inaugurated the controversial Baglihar Dam today (Friday). Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Indian Prime Minister said the dam will help overcome power crisis. In India, 26 per cent of power is generated through hydel power. Manmohan Singh said 150 megawatts power would be generated through this project.
