40 die in China floods, landslides

Landslides and flash floods have killed at least 40 people in southwest China, and 16,000 have been forced to evacuate their homes, state media reported Wednesday. In addition to those killed in Yunnan province between Thursday and Monday, at least six people were missing. Tropical storm Kammuri has affected 1.25 million people in Yunnan, according to civil affairs officials' estimates.
