G8 finance chiefs call for urgent oil output hike
June 14, 2008 Finance ministers from the Group of Eight rich nations called Saturday for an urgent boost to global oil production to rein in soaring prices, a G8 source said, quoting their final joint statement. "We urge all (oil) producing countries to increase production and to invest to enhance refinery capacity," the statement said.
