Ban Ki-moon meets with Lebanese President, PM
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon met the Lebanese president Michel Suleiman in Beirut on Saturday as part of what he has termed his "mission of peace." Ban Ki-moon then moved to the Prime ministers office where he met the Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora. Outside the UN compound in Beirut, hundreds of protesters gathered to express their solidarity with Gaza. One protester said he was outraged at the UN's failure to stop the Israeli on Hamas militants and the Gazan population.
