SKorea pledges extra $4m for China quake
May 20, 2008 South Korea will provide China with additional emergency aid worth four million dollars following its devastating earthquake, the foreign ministry said Tuesday. The aid comes on top of assistance worth one million dollars which Seoul is already providing in the wake of last Monday's quake. "The additional aid comes at China's request," said ministry spokesman Moon Tae-Young, adding medicines and tents will be among the items shipped.
