MOSCOW (AFP) - Russia and Kazakhstan signed plan for joint uranium production late Friday, the RIA Novosti news agency reported.
Deputy chiefs of Russias Rosatom and Kazakhstans KazAtomProm nuclear producers signed the agreement on additional measures to boost cooperation in uranium production as well as construction of nuclear power stations in Kazakhstan, officials said.
The details of the agreement were not immediately known.
Russia has launched construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan in 2006.
