August 26, 2008

At least 37 people were killed and more than 50 were injured Tuesday in a suicide attack in front of a police station in Iraq's Diyala province, Iraqi officials said. An attacker got out of a car and detonated himself amid a crowd of volunteers who were standing in front of the police building in the town of Djalula, 60 kilometers north-east of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, officials added. Seconds after the man detonated his vest; the car loaded with explosives blew up.
