Earthquake shakes Iran
May 27, 2008 A 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit a northwestern Iranian province on Tuesday but there were no immediate reports of any casualties, Iranian news agencies said. "A relatively strong earthquake shook a large part of Zanjan province on Tuesday morning," the official news agency said, adding frightened people rushed outside to open areas and that telephone communications were disrupted in some parts.
