US soldier killed in Iraq
August 28, 2008 An American soldier has died of wounds sustained in a small arms attack in northern Baghdad, the US military in Iraq said on Thursday. The soldier was wounded when the foot patrol came under attack on Wednesday, a military statement said without giving further details. He was transferred to a medical tratement facility where he later died.
