Quake jolts part of Tibet
June 30, 2008 An earthquake of 5.5 magnitude jolted the sparsely populated Baingoin county in Tibet, China National Seismological Network said. The epicenter was about 370 km from the Baingoin county seat, it said. The affected area with an average altitude of 5,000 metres, is sparsely populated, official Xinhua news agency said, adding, there was no report of casualties.
