Unkn own gunmen shot dead Federal Minister of Minorities Affairs Shahbaz Bhatti in Islamabad on Wednesday. The assailants opened indiscriminate fire at Federal Minister of Minorities Affairs Shahbaz Bhatti. He was admitted at Shifa hospital of Islamabad in critical condition where he was succumbed to injuries. According to initial reports about 20 bullets hit the car of Shahbaz Bhatti who was going to attend a meeting of the federal cabinet in Islamabad. Shahbaz Bhatti was a member of ruling Pakistan People's Party. He was getting life threats from militant groups. It was said that Shahbaz Bhatti was the member of the committee, which was constituted to amend the blasphemy law; but Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and other ministers had refuted reports about presence of such committee.
