Despite that federal capital is confronted with intense water crisis residents of various sectors are wasting water.
According to details, on one side the government is running campaigns to save water due to dead level in all major dams but the residents of F-6, F-7 and F-8 are busy in wasting water by washing their cars and watering their gardens
Capital Development Authority has announced to impose fine of 500 rupees on water wasting but has yet to implement on its announcement.
Chairman CDA Imtiaz Inayat Ellahi said that water is still on dead level at Mangla dam owing to lack of rain.
He said that service station would be opened for two days in a week to control water crisis and if the water wasting would continue with the same speed the Mangla dam would become totally dry.
He appealed to the residents to cooperate with CDA in water saving campaign.
