Nazim SFT asks KESC to exempt pumping stations from load-shedding
KARACHI (APP) - Acting Nazim Shah Faisal Town, Irtiza Farooqi Friday directed that all ongoing water supply and sewerage related development works be completed speedily to provide timely facilities to people.
He directed the local KWSB officials to take immediate action on public complaints with regard to water supply and ensure their redressal.
He issued the directives while reviewing the ongoing water supply and sewerage improvement works in various parts of Shah Faisal Town.
TMO Syed Fazeel Ahmed Bukhari and officials of various town departments were also present on the occasion.
The Nazim directed the water board officials to take steps for ensuring supply of clean drinking water to each and every house and ensure its supply to all areas on equal basis to redress public complaints.
During the visit, Irtiza Farooqi also met various delegations of people and exchanged views with them on local problems.
He told them that in order to ensure supply of clean water, the Haq Parast leadership has replaced all defective and sagging lines and laid the pipes in areas which had no supply system at all.
He regretted that water supply system is getting affected because of load-shedding and unannounced power shutdown. Farooqi demanded of the KESC to exempt pumping stations from load-shedding to ensure water supply to people to rid them from mental agonies.
