In Lahore, the rally was led by Secretary General Khurshid Ahmad and President Abdul Latif Nizamani. Addressing the main rally of the workers, Khurshid Ahmed Abdul Latif Nizamani pointed out that the privatisation of KESC had miserably failed and further privatisation would bring bad results.
They said that government had miserably failed to produce energy from coal resources in the country which are cheap and economical. They held the rulers responsible for energy crisis in the country and said that Wapda workers would agitate if privatisation of important national entities is done without any rational.
