» Islamabad wants a more immediate inclusion of Kashmiri’s in the talks. Earlier the inclusion was said to be at some specified time
» Another significant point is that Islamabad is asking for a “meaningful dialogue”. Therefore India should move from a silent stance to speeding up talks. Earlier when Islamabad had put forth a four-point agenda there was no Indian response.
The dialogue on Kashmir is described as being stuck on the starting point? Also in the background is the suspicion that India wants to find a solution within the ambit of the Indian constitution. This does not augur well. It depicts a non-serious and unrealistic attitude. A senior APHC leader recently stated his opinion that for peace and stability in South Asia the resolution of the Kashmir issue on permanent basis is necessary. He cautioned that a 1990 â€" like revolution could take place, if seriousness for the resolution of the Kashmir issue is not shown.
There is already a growing resentment from the Kashmiris on the situation of the human rights. Kashmiris express that CBMs are appearing to dissolve and are not resolving the issue. Once the level of confidence breaks, it will become even more difficult to solve it. The only way out is through dialogue for the peace and prosperity of the South Asian region.
