Zardari's disabilities
By Aziz-ud-Din Ahmad August 27, 2008 Eyebrows were naturally raised when Mr Zardari went back on the accords with the PML-N regarding the reinstatement of deposed judges. He declined to abide by the Murree Accord saying it was only a political statement that need not be implemented. This was widely considered a violation of a solemn undertaking which one did not expect from a leader with a national stature. Subsequently Mr Zardari signed another agreement to reinstate the judges soon after the impeachment or resignation of Gen (retd) Musharraf from the post of the president. He then himself read out a joint statement at a press conference that made a similar promise.
