Save the federation
December 2, 2008 THE appeal by Jamhoori Watan Party President Talal Akbar Bugti to elements busy fomenting insurgency in Balochistan to give up their terrorist activities, should be welcomed. Although Nawab Akbar Bugti, his father, was killed through extra-judicial means by the Musharraf-led regime, he has displayed a sense of pragmatism. Addressing a press conference in Quetta, he referred to his nephew Brahmdagh Bugti's acts of sabotage, blowing up government installations, railway tracks, gas pipelines or killing innocent people and said that he was not serving the nation.
