June 8, 2008 THE practitioners of our faith, around the world, are in a bad way. Even the most optimistic of idealists would concede that the Muslim world faces crises so severe that any prospect of real progress for the Faithful seems bleak. What is worse, the rest of the world fears we might take them down along with us. This fear, not entirely true, leads to a bias from the rest of the world that serves only to exacerbate the problems that confront us.
