July 5, 2008 The government of Sindh finance department had established the Sindh Social Relief Fund (SSRF) with an objective to provide direct relief to the disadvantaged and distressed. In the budget 2005-06, an amount of Rs3 billion was allocated.
This amount was to be increased by Rs2 billion annually but it was then enhanced to Rs3 billion per year.
