A tragedy of errors
October 6, 2008 Tragedies have become the norm in our country. It is, therefore, instructive to look at our lack of coordinated response in, for instance, the recent Marriott Hotel bombing. There was an abundant crowd of media with numerous vans fitted with satellite dishes, innumerable fire engines and ambulances waiting and hundreds of cars blocking the hotel exit but precious little activity to put out the fire or retrieve the buried.
