Molotov's brew

The media is causing a lot of disharmony. What is being misjudged is the cause of that disharmony. There seems to be a mood of revolt in the country. This discontent is not against the PPP government but against the total disarray that people are seeing in a silent fit of rage. The world is passing through an economic crunch and its reverberations are also being felt in our country. These circumstances are fortuitous for opportunists that are least concerned about the fires they ignite. They are not bothered about the devastating effects their play might have on the governance of the country.

Such people are intent upon sowing ill will among the dissatisfied people so that they take to the streets. The people of Pakistan need to act wisely. They should try to see through these fake people and should not lose faith in their government. -ZAINAB RANA, Lahore, November 5.
