Robbing Punjab govt
July 11, 2008 A number of top-ranking retired federal government officers applied to the former Chief Minister Punjab for life-time financial help out of the Punjab budget. The latter granted it despite opposition from certain quarters.
Obviously, the number of these beneficiaries will continue to increase with the passage of time thus increasing financial burden on the poorest of the poor in Punjab who pay taxes.
