Of buried children
October 11, 2008 The October 8 earthquake demolished huge structures of firm foundations. Life in the affected areas went out like a light in the twinkling of an eye. Beautiful valleys that had tourists from all over the world in thrall turned into barren fields.
Allah tells us to amend our ways and seek His guidance at all times. When a nation deviates from the right path of life, these divine warnings help it in course correction. I can never forget a sentence I had heard from a mother in the earthquake-effected area. She said " There is no reason mothers would bring up their children to be so lovely if they knew they could die in a calamity like this". There is a grave silence in the valley of Kashmir.
