Justice for Dr Aafia
August 18, 2008 US authorities have allowed Pakistani diplomats to meet the Pakistani scientist in US custody, Dr Aafia Siddiqui. When the diplomats visited Dr Aafia, she requested for a copy of the Quran, religiously appropriate food and assurances of a free trial.
The Pakistan Foreign Office is trying to bring her to Pakistan so that she could have a fair trial in accordance with the international law. It is a test of Pakistani government that how far is it successful in providing justice to Dr Aafia. -AFIFA ALTAF, Lahore, August 12.
