Why impeachment?
July 20, 2008 Amjad Habib Mirza in his letter captioned “Why impeachment? “ (The Nation July 08) says the people are not interested in the restoration of Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.
Khalil Jibran had said “Pity the people who forget their heroes”. But for Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry’s bold no to the dictator, there would have been no political awakening. Neither Benazir Bhutto, nor Mian Nawaz Sharif would have come back to Pakistan. Musharraf would have continued to rule with his ‘Q’ League.
