The government has imposed 16 percent General Sales Tax on WAPDA's domestic consumers who use more than 50 units a month. Things are not made any easier for the ordinary consumers with this latest imposition of tax. They were already suffering due to prolonged loadshedding owing to a huge shortage of power.
