Haj to cost Rs200,000

Talking to private TV channel on Thursday he said Haj pilgrims on government quota paid Rs135, 000 last year, which has been increased to Rs 200,000 this year. He attributed the increase in  expenses to overall price hike as airfares have also been increased. Kazmi further said that a medical mission comprising 320 officials and 260 Haj khuddam would accompany the pilgrims this year.

However, talking to APP on July 23, Kazmi said “The government and PIA will bear the burden of increased fares and will not pass on the burden to pilgrims.”
