PM takes notice of violence

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday took a serious note of the situation in Karachi and sought a report from the Advisor on Interior, within 24 hours.
The Prime Minister also directed the provincial authorities to take strict action against the law violators and said, "no one will be allowed to put at risk the lives and property of the people". The Prime Minister was reacting to the incidents of violence in Karachi Saturday in which several people were killed and properties damaged. Meanwhile, the death toll in separate incidents of violence in Karachi rose to over 25 while more than 200 injured. Dozens of vehicles and several shops and a godown were torched by unknown miscreants.
