95 die as Kurram reels under fresh violence

PARACHINAR (Agencies) - At least 95 people including 18 tribesmen were killed and more than 200 injured in the fresh armed clashes between the warring tribes in Kurram Agency on Sunday.

Sectarian clashes in Parachinar  left 95 more people dead and scores of others wounded amid reports that the rival groups in certain areas have intensified attacks on each other's positions.

The armed groups equipped with heavy weapons, targeted each other's positions. Sources informed that the Bangash tribe enjoys the support of local militants.

Despite unilateral truce announced by Turi tribes, activists of Bangash tribe backed by local Taliban launched attacks on activists of the rival group from Bugzai headquarters.
