3 more civilians fall prey to Swat operation
By Essa Khan Khel August 2, 2008 As per details, from 30 to 35 militants boarding several vehicles attacked the Levies Forces check post in Jaar, situated about 12 kilometres away from Khar headquarters of Bajaur Agency in early hours of Friday. Two out of the four occupants of the check post succeeded in slipping away whereas two were picked up by the militants and taken towards an unknown destination.
The political administration confirmed the attack and informed that Lance Naik Sher Zamin and Constable Saeed Ullah were abducted by the militants. So far no one has claimed the responsibility in this respect.
Meanwhile, the alleged militants also attacked a check post of the Scouts Forces in Mamoond area. The attack was repulsed and the militants succeeded to escape, the officials claimed in Khar.
It may be mentioned here that in Bajaur, after a break of around two weeks the alleged militants have attacked the Scouts Forces check post. In the border areas along with Afghanistan, the Scouts Forces have already vacated seven check posts, which are now in occupation of the militants. Similarly, the militants have also occupied a Television Booster in Barang area of Bajaur Agency.
