US finding on ISI rubbish: FO
By SHAIQ HUSSAIN August 2, 2008 The American newspaper reported on Thursday that unidentified US officials said communications had been intercepted between Pakistani agents and militants who carried out the attack against the Indian embassy last month. New York Times also reported earlier that a senior CIA official, during his visit to Islamabad recently, confronted Pakistani authorities with evidence of ties between ISI members and militants.
Foreign Office Spokesman Mohammed Sadiq, in his reaction, dubbed the media report as ‘rubbish’ and said there was no evidence proving ISI’s involvement in the attack on Indian embassy. He added that the foreign media kept coming up with such things against the Pakistan’s main spy agency but those allegations were baseless.
