'N' extends support to govt
By Maqbool Malik December 2, 2008 ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), the major Opposition party in the National Assembly Monday said it would extend unconditional support to the government in defusing tension with India and hoped that a greater national consensus would emerge from the APC meeting scheduled today.
“We will extend full support to the government because this is a foremost serious challenge we as a nation are facing today”, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali told a press conference after a PML-N delegation led by him held a meeting with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani here on Monday. The delegation also included Ahsan Iqbal and Sardar Mehtab Abbasi.
