2 Nato supply tankers attacked
PESHAWAR Unknown miscreants attacked two containers supplying goods to the US-led coalition forces, camping in Afghanistan, with sophisticated weapons in Jamil Chowk here early Monday morning.
Eyewitnesses said that soon after the attack fire engulfed the site. However, it was extinguished after the fire brigade squad carried the operation.
According to the local police, no person or group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
It may be mentioned here that for averting such attacks and ensuring supply tankers safety, the NWFP government has already reduced entry from Punjab. It was the third attack during the last two weeks.
