Fazlullah killed?

The chief of Tehrik-e-Taliban Swat chapter, Maulana Fazlullah, has been killed, reported Waqt TV channel on
Thursday, qouting military and Taliban sources.
Security forces have tightened the grip around the militants. A conversation between Swat Taliban leader
Fazlullah and spokesman Muslim Khan was traced at satellite in which Fazlullah said he had been seriously
injured in a clash with the security forces. “The forces have tightened the cordon leaving no way to quit the area,”
Fazlullah said in the conversation. He directed his fighters to increase the attacks on the forces so that he could
get out of the area.
Having traced the conversation, forces pounded Fazlullah’s compound in which all Taliban including Fazlullah
were reportedly killed.
Close aides to Fazlullah and Muslim Khan have also confirmed that Fazlullah has been killed in the fresh assault
by the security forces.
The government has announced Rs50 million head money on Fazlullah who was son-in-law of TNSM head Sufi
Muhammad.
Sufi Muhammad had brokered a deal between the government and Maulana Fazlullah under which imposition of
Nizam-e-Adle was agreed in Swat and Malakand areas. But the deal was scraped after a few weeks following
Taliban’s activities in the areas.
