Swat’s displaced people will be allowed to return home until June 17: Major General Ijaz Awan

General Officer Commanding (GOC) Major General Ijaz Awan Wednesday said the Swat’s displaced people will be allowed to return home until June 17. The GOC said the Grid Station of Mingora would be re-constructed in next 24 hours and people will allowed to return home after the civic services are put back into action. He added the gas supply to the city has been restored. Maj General Ijaz said it is quite possible that the forces will have to stay backing the area, adding that the weapons of Russian and US make recovered from militants in Mingora. GOC Awan said at least 572 militants were killed during the operation in Mingora, of them, 155 were the leadership of the second tier.
