BRA claims killing five abductees

QUETTA - At least five abductees including SHO Dera Murad Jamali have been reportedly killed by Baloch Republican Army (BRA) who claimed responsibility for kidnapping 25 persons including 15 policemen from Chatter area of Naseerabad district.
The sources said that the militants after killing five abducted officials including SHO of Mir Hassan police station threw their bodies near Chatter area and had threatened that if their demands were not accepted by Sunday, then they would kill the other officials and labourers.
However, official sources did not confirm killing of five hostages.
‘These are totally rumours and so far we haven’t received any such information’, DPO Naseerabad Atta Muhammad told The Nation on phone.
Sarbaaz Baloch spokesman of BRA talking to media through Satellite phone claimed responsibility of killing five abductees.
He threatened that if govt did not release the arrested Baloch leaders and workers within 24 hours then they would kill rest of the officials.
Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani has taken strict notice of killing of police officials the other day and directed for stern action against accused involved in the kidnapping.
Meanwhile, a vehicle of security forces narrowly escaped a bomb attack in Khuzdar district on Monday.
As per reports, reaching here, unidentified people had planted explosive device on roadside on Quetta-Karachi highway in Khuzdar.
The device exploded when vehicle of security forces was passing from the site.
However, no loss of life and damage to property was reported in the attack.
Security forces cordoned off the area after the incident.
