Firing, attacks leave 14 dead in Balochistan

In another similar incident, a person was shot dead in Mastung district some 40 km away from provincial capital.
Unidentified masked motorcyclists gunned down Muhammad Jamail nearby bus stop and escaped from the site after committing crime, said sources.
A person identified as Rafiq was also critically wounded in Khuzdar district when unknown people opened fire at him. He received serious wounds and was shifted to hospital for medical treatment. Rafiq was said to be resident of Punjab.
Police has registered cases against unknown miscreant and started investigations.
Meanwhile, armed militants blew up two gas pipelines in Balochistan’s restive district Dera Bugti that suspended gas supply to Loi and Pir Koh gas plants.
According to sources, militants had planted explosive material under foundation of a 8-inch gas pipeline supplying gas to Loi gas plant from well number 3 was exploded with big bang destroying pipeline and suspending gas supply to the plant.
In yet another incident, a 16 inch diameter gas pipeline was damaged when explosive device planted by unknown persons went off with huge explosion suspending gas supply to Pir Koh purification plant from wells.
‘Repair work of damaged pipelines has started while cases against unknown miscreants has been registered’, said an official.
Meanwhile, armed men lobbed a hand grenade at a barber shop near Jail Road Munno Jan Chowk of provincial capital on Tuesday morning. The hand grenade exploded and partially damaged the roof of the shop whereas five persons present in the shop escaped unhurt.
