Nawaz willing to become prime minister again

LONDON (Online) - Former premier and Quaid Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Mian Nawaz Sharif has asked former president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf to come back and face charges against him in Pakistan, adding that the agreement between PPP and his party is now just a piece of paper and nothing else.
He said that the govt should honour pledges, which it had made with the nation.
He said this while talking to media men after meeting with party workers here on Friday.
Government should repeal 17th Amendment as we want to cooperate with the govt but it has to come on the right track. We are collaborating with govt to steer country out of crisis, Nawaz added.
Answering to a question, he said, the killer of late former Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Akbar Bugti could have been punished if govt ensured implementation on Charter of Democracy.
Judiciary can decide the fate of Former President Gen. (Retd) Pervez Musharraf, he said.
The nation and lawyers played a great role for independence of judiciary. Judiciary is free to take decision and we can build pressure on judiciary now, he added.
He went on to say efforts were made to declare him ineligible.
The govt has still not changed the policies, which were left by former President who is responsible for current countrys situation, he added.
When asked about statement of Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik about presence of Taliban in Southern Punjab, he refuted his claim saying how he can tell the exact number of terrorists in Southern Punjab.
When asked creation of new province, he said, he knows very well who is behind the movement. It is a Constitutional matter and new province cannot be created without consensus among masses and Parliament, he said.
When asked about drone strikes, he said, the nation knows who allowed to US to carry out such strike in countrys tribal areas. The man who allowed US is sitting in UK, he added.
Commenting on dialogue with India, he said, India should understand Pakistans position.
'Pakistani Government and establishment were not involved in Mumbai attack and India should collaborate with Pakistan to end insurgency.
PML-N laid the foundation stone of talks with India, he said.
Responding to another question, he said, intelligence agencies are in control of govt and concern of some countries in this respect is baseless.
Government writ should not be challenged, he said.
He said it would be honor for him to serve the nation in capacity of Prime Minister but the decision in this respect would be taken by the nation in the next elections.
Under the Constitution, the Premier of the country should be powerful instead of being powerless.
When asked about loadshedding, he said, the masses are facing enormous inconvenience due to power outages and the govt of former President Pervez Musharraf was responsible for this.
No megawatt electricity was generated during Musharraf rule, he added.
