Thousands of children need shelter, food
By Bari Baloch November 4, 2008 QUETTA - Chief Minister NWFP Amir Haidar Khan Hoti, while assuring all possible cooperation for the assistance of earthquake affectees of Balochistan, has said that he would present a blank cheque on behalf of NWFP government to Chief Minister Balochistan for assistance of people.
He expressed these views while addressing a Press conference in Chief Minister’s Secretariat flanked by Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani, Afrasiab Khattak President Awami National Party NWFP and other provincial ministers of Balochistan during his visit to Quetta on Monday.
Amir Haidar Khan Hoti said that Chief Minister Balochistan apprised him about the losses caused by the massive earthquake and added that those areas which were affected due to earthquake were scattered and it would take time for rehabilitation of the affectees. However, he appreciated provincial government for taking immediate steps in relief operation.
He said that efforts of political parties and people who had contributed in rescue and relief activities were highly appreciated.
