Meanwhile, in a statement on Friday, Rehman Malik made it clear that law-enforcement agencies and police officials performed their duties at the highest level on Eid thus no unpleasant incident was reported in the Federal Capital.

He also telephoned ANP Chief Asfandyar Wali and inquired about his health after the suicide blast on Thursday.

He strongly condemned the gruesome blast terming it extremely shocking on second day of Eid.

He said that perpetrators would not be spared.

Meanwhile, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik Friday said more than 14 likely suicide bombers along with their handlers are in government’s custody.

Talking to a private TV channel, he said action was being taken against anti-state elements on the basis of information extracted from arrested bombers and their facilitators.
