ISLAMABAD (APP) - India has increased processing time for issuing visas to Pakistani nationals to a minimum of 30 days, except for medical emergency cases, says an Indian High Commission Press release on Thursday.
The time has been increased 'on account of additional security measures following the terrorist attacks on Mumbai', the Press release stated. Applicants have been advised to take the processing time into account while submitting visa applications and scheduling their travel to India.
A new visa application form for Pakistani nationals has also been introduced and is available on the High Commission's website www.india.org.pk. The application form can be downloaded from there.
The Press release informed that from December 15, only the new application form will be accepted by the High Commission.
