QUETTA - An oil tanker carrying fuel for NATO forces in Afghanistan was attacked near Chaman Pak-Afghan border while a roadside bomb blast occurred in Quetta on Friday.
As per details, an oil tanker carrying fuel for NATO forces deployed in Afghanistan was heading towards Kandahar from Karachi when unidentified armed motorcyclists opened indiscriminate firing on it near Pakistan Hotel at Pak-Afghan border area. Resultantly, thousands of liters of oil spilled over. However, both the driver and the cleaner of the tanker survived the attack.
In another incident, a roadside bomb went off with a huge explosion at Sariab Road within the precincts of New Sariab police station. The explosive device was planted along road near Agricultural Research Laboratories, which exploded and blew a crater in the road. No loss of life and damage to property was reported in the blast.
Police reached the site soon after blast and cordoned off the area. Police has registered cases of both incidents and started investigations.
