LAHORE - Federal Minister for Law Farooq Naek has said the issue of Indian spy Sarabjit Singh is being considered on humanitarian grounds, maintaining that as far as his pardon is concerned a decision will be made as per the Constitution.

Talking to media on Sunday, he said he would meet with Sarabjit today (Monday) and would present a report in this regard to the President.

He pointed out that President Asif Zardari was empowered under the Article 45 of the Constitution to pardon the death sentence of a prisoner.
