Two Taliban commanders among five dead in Swat

SWAT - At least five persons including two prominent commanders of Taliban were killed and two security personnel were injured in separate incidents of firing and shelling here on Sunday. Meanwhile, two rockets were fired on NWFP Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti's native home in Mardan.

According to Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) sources, two prominent Taliban leaders were killed during the shelling of security forces on suspected hideouts of the militants in Sumbut area of tehsil Matta. The security forces also launched door-to-door search operation in Sumbut and arrested many suspected persons.

According to local sources, three persons including a woman were killed in Khwazakhaila, Matta, during shelling. Some armed militants also attacked the residence of a doctor in the same locality, however no casualty was reported.
