President Asif Ali Zardari will be leaving on a two day visit to Russia on June 14 for participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Yakaterinburg. On the summit sidelines the President is also likely to meet the Presidents of Russia, China, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. The President will also visit Brussels for three days from June 17 where the EU summit will take up the issue of export of Pakistani goods particularly the textiles to the countries of European Union. Spokesperson of the President former Senator Farhatullah Babar said that on the sidelines of the summit in Brussels the President is also likely to meet heads of states and governments of a number of countries and international bodies.
