Those persons who shifted from Lower Dir could return to their houses: Dir media center

Search operations at different areas of Swats Tehsil Maidan and operation against the militants at Tehsil Kabal in Malakand Division continued, while Dir media center said that the persons shifted from Lower Dir could return to their houses. Dir media center said that the security forces have got the areas up to Samarbagh at Tensil Maidan cleared, while the lower Dir natives could return to their houses. Meanwhile, security forces heavy guns from Timargara Headquarters kept pounding the militants hideouts overnight at Tehsil Maidan, while this morning started search operation. A large number of people, who had earlier shifted for safety, are returning to their homes during the curfew break from 6.00 A.M. in the morning to 6.00 P.M. in the evening in Tehsil Maidan and Adeenzai. Security forces last night shelled militants hideouts at Shakardara area of Tehsil Matta, but no loss of life was reported immediately. Operations against militants continued in Tehsil Kabals areas Zawara and Dadahara. Persistent curfew in the entire district causing hardships to the people due to acute shortage of food grains and medicines.
