10 soldiers, 25 militants dead in Bajaur clashes
Source: Our Staff Reporter August 8, 2008 PESHAWAR - At least 25 militants and 10 security forces men were killed and several others were injured in clashes between security forces and militants in Loya Sam area of Bajaur Agency, ISPR said here Thursday.
However, Maulvi Omar, spokesman of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), denied the claim of the security forces and said that 20 personnel of the security forces were killed in the clashes.
Moreover, he also claimed that the militants besieged more than 100 personnel of the security forces.
Meanwhile, the traditional tribal Jirga declared a ceasefire between security forces and Taliban militants in Loya Sam area of Bajaur Agency.
